Where the Healing Waters Flow
The Red Water

was supposed to be effective in diseases of the urinary tract. Allegedly capable of dissolving stones.

Red Boiling Springs has traditionally enjoyed the stories of the healing properties of its five different types of healing waters.

The following is a description of the healing waters:
The Black Water

was recommended for those suffering of diseases of the digestive tract.  It was said to have a happy effect on so called exhaustion and insomnia.
The Freestone Water

was so called because it was free of any medicinal trace minerals.

The White Water

was used only on cases of dyspepsia and seldom failed.
The Famous Double and Twist

got its name from the physical effects a person received from drinking the water.
This water was mostly reserved for mineral baths.
