A MUST SEE (and DO) .. in Downtown Red Boiling Springs!!
The new Vision 2020 Office and “Step Back In Time Shop”.
What a blessing to have an "official" home for Vision 2020 Inc located on ‪‎MainStreet in Historic Downtown ‪‎Red Boiling Springs! Thanks to everyone … and I mean everyone … who worked many, many hours to make this vision a reality! Also wanted to take a moment to talk about the gift shop. This is not your usual run of the mill shop--all items available for sale are created by local artisans, craftsmen and crafters.  Some other items are on consignment and are donated. In addition, there are no employees--it is run completely by dedicated community volunteers. So what's the connection? All proceeds from the gift shop go directly toward the restoration and the creation of The Red Boiling Springs Heritage Museum. So swing on by to check out the cool one of a kind items--and shop knowing that you are supporting a worthwhile cause!

Vision 2020’s 5th Annual Ice Cream Social & Auction
@ The Armour’s Hotel … 5:00pm to 8:00pm We’re raising some cold, hard CASH!  Vision 2020 Inc will host its Fifth Annual Ice Cream Social on the grounds of the Armour’s Hotel in Red Boiling Springs from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.  This is a FUNd-raising event to help in the restoration costs of the old bank building in the downtown area for use as a heritage museum.   Local businesses and individuals are invited to enter their favorite homemade ice cream.  Be sure to bring a pocket or two full of pennies.  A jar will be available beside each ice cream container. The jar that receives the most pennies that evening will be declared the favorite flavor ice cream in Red Boiling Springs for 2016.  Tickets for the event are $5 each.  Tickets may be purchased at the Armour’s Hotel or from any Vision 2020 Inc member. Ticket purchase entitles you to all the ice cream you can eat and the opportunity to vote for your favorite flavor.  Don't forget your checkbook to purchase some of the items being offered at the auction that closes the evening's activities.   Restoring the old bank building and the establishment of a Red Boiling Springs Heritage Museum is a project Vision 2020 Inc undertook in the fall of 2010.  The purchase of the property was achieved in September of 2012.  The building has been listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.  Materials for the restoration of the roof have been purchased.  The next goal is to raise the funds necessary to pay for the labor to repair the windows and doors.  Vision 2020 plans to restore the building to the look and feel it had in the 1920s-30s.For more information on the ice cream social, e-mail vision2020@nctc.com or call 615-388-3046.
